ABOUT US:
New Zealand Owned. New Zealand Designed. New Zealand Manufactured.
Fire extinguishers rattling around loose in vehicle footwells, wedged under seats, or buried in the boot are a common problem — nowhere near useful in the moment they're actually needed. QFIRE started to fix that problem properly, not an imported, one-size-fits-all clamp, but a bracket engineered for the specific vehicle it's going into.
QFIRE is 100% New Zealand owned, designed, and manufactured. Every bracket is measured, modelled, and built here.
An Engineering Problem, Not a Retail One:
A fire extinguisher bracket looks simple until you try to build one properly. It has to mount into a vehicle without drilling into the vehicle's structure, reduce interference with the vehicle’s features normal and fit correctly — not approximately.
Every QFIRE bracket is held to that standard. Each design starts with measurements taken directly off the vehicle — bolt centres, seat post clearances, mounting geometry — not scaled from a factory diagram. That data becomes a CAD model, gets checked against a physical mockup, and only becomes a production drawing once it holds up.
Brackets are fabricated from 3mm steel and zinc coated, with a powder coat finish for a high quality product. Every bracket is supplied with high tensile steel fasteners to secure your fire extinguisher to the bracket. The mounting method is no-drill by design: brackets mount to the vehicle using the factory seat mounting hardware, so fitting a fire extinguisher mount never means modifying the vehicle itself.
Why Local Manufacturing Actually Matters
Designing and building in New Zealand isn't just a sourcing choice — it shortens the distance between the problem and a solution. When a new vehicle model needs a bracket, we measure it here, model it here, and refine it here, instead of waiting on a design change to clear an offshore production run. For fleets running mixed vehicle lists, that turnaround matters more than it sounds like it should.
Built to Grow — Deliberately
QFIRE currently covers a growing range of New Zealand's common fleet and passenger vehicles, with new applications added only once they've been measured, modelled, and verified against the actual vehicle — never assumed from a similar model. If your vehicle isn't supported yet, that's a measurement we haven't done yet, not a no.
